The Power of Pilates with Nicola Rafferty

The weekend’s workshop will take you on a journey of Joseph Pilates’ creations, whether you’re rehabilitating from an old injury, or simply aiming to maintain and improve your physique.

Nicola’s vast experience with clients’ diverse physical issues means your needs will be met and so your personal goals can be achieved.

Beginning with postural awareness, from standing to lying; by learning to correctly align your bones you’ll discover the deeper connection of core and stabilising muscles.

With the fundamentals of Pilates always at the forefront, a mix of classical and contemporary flow classes will challenge specific muscle groups and stamina.

Small Pilates equipment will be introduced, including soft & hard mini-balls, Thera-bands, Foam rollers and Swiss balls. These all emphasise core connection, improve balance, as well as stretch & mobilise the muscles and joints.

You will finish the weekend feeling lengthened, stronger and more free of both body and mind.
