Nicola Rafferty

Nicola has taught Pilates since 2003.

Her vast experience and wealth of knowledge stems further back to her professional training and career in Dance. As a student at Sylvia Young Theatre School and London Studio Centre, she learned about self-motivation. Pilates was taught as her rehabilitative module, discovering the benefits from an early age. This early experience became instrumental to her future career in Pilates.

Nicola later qualified as a fitness instructor, teaching many dance fitness classes.  Then in 2003 she was inspired to pursue a career in teaching Pilates. Seeing first-hand the benefits in maintaining and improving fitness, but also in recovery and recuperation from injury.

Through ongoing training, she has attained level three Pilates Matwork and Reformer qualifications. Within her training, anatomy and physiology remains fundamental. Nicola is also trained in Barre Pilates and ante & post-natal Pilates. Nicola is a member of International MK Pilates and Fitness Professionals.

She maintains a long-term client base of all age ranges and capabilities. Always teaching the latest evidence-based research. Nicola creates a clear variety of balanced classes. With a ‘practice what you preach’ approach, Nicola will ensure her demonstrations show you how to gain the maximum benefits from your classes.
