Spa Etiquette & Information
. All spa packages must be pre-booked. A deposit of £50 or payment in full secures your booking. Your choice of treatments and full payment is required 2 weeks prior to your spa visit. If you are booking within 2 weeks of your spa session then full payment is required on booking.
Please be aware that the spa is for guests aged 16 and over. We are unable to permit access to anyone under the age of 16.
We do have a male therapist in our team. If you would prefer not to have a male therapist please do tell us in advance so that we can arrange a replacement before you arrive.
LADIES AND GENTS CHANGING ROOMS
The changing rooms are available for Spa Day and Half Day guests.
You will be allocated a locker for the duration of your spa visit. We recommend you lock any possessions and valuables you have with you in your locker. We regret we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage of personal items.
Included in the ladies changing rooms are separate cubicles for private changing, separate showers, hair dryers and straighteners.
Included in the gents changing room is a separate shower and hair dryer.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
Upon arrival you will be provided with a fresh robe, slippers and towel. Your robe will be identified by the embroidered number on the pocket and will match the number of the locker assigned to you during your visit
All guests should bring swimwear. A change of swimwear is recommended, in particular if you are on a full day spa and wish to have lunch in dry swimwear under your robe. As you will only be provided with one robe during your visit you may wish to bring lounge-wear at lunch in case your robe becomes wet.
We recommend you bring your favourite magazines and a good book to read.
Complimentary mineral water and herbal and fruit teas are available for you to enjoy during your visit. Due to the heat generated by the hydropool, sauna and steamroom, we strongly recommend you drink plenty of fluids.
We advise against the excessive consumption of alcoholic drinks prior to or during your visit to The Spa. A corkage fee of £5 per bottle will be charged should you wish to bring your own alcohol. Guests' own alcohol should only be consumed in our Spa building and adjoining sun terrace and should not be taken outside of these areas or over to the Main House for lunch. Should you wish to consume alcohol with your meal it can be purchased at the Main House which is licenced.
Arrival time for the day is 9.15 am.
Treatments are spread throughout the day with plenty of time to enjoy the facilities.
For guests spending the full day with us, lunch is served in the Main House from 12:30 until 13:45.
The Spa closes at 16:30 prompt for non-residential guests.
It is extremely important that you advise our staff of any food allergies you may have before arrival.
Please let us know of any health conditions you suffer from when you make your booking with us. This will enable us to recommend the treatments and products that are most suitable for you and tailor your treatments to meet your needs. If you are taking medication, have just had an operation or have a medical condition, we would strongly advise you bring a note from your doctor before embarking on any treatments.
MUMS TO BE AND POST NATAL
It is vital that mothers-to-be advise us when booking as some treatments will not be suitable for pregnant women. No treatments are permitted within the first trimester (12 weeks). Use of the hydropool, sauna and steam room are also not advised during pregnancy.
Please read the full Spa Etiquette sheet provided with the booking confirmation form so that you are fully informed and know what to expect from you time at The Spa.
In order to maintain a tranquil environment, please silence phones and mobile devices while inside the spa. When in the Quiet Lounge and waiting area please be mindful of others.
Our spa and adjoining terrace are strictly non-smoking areas.
LOSS OR DAMAGE
We regret that we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage of personal items. We strongly recommend use of our secure lockers for any valuables and personal articles. For the protection of your clothing, we also ask that you wear the robes and slippers provided for your convenience.
Treatments: Cancellation within 24 hours/ Non-attendance will incur a 100% charge
Spa Day Packages: Cancellation within 48 hours/ Non-attendance will incur a 100% charge
LATE ARRIVAL POLICY
Please be aware that for late arrivals, the treatment time will be reduced accordingly, and you will still be required to pay the full price. If a client is more than 15 minutes late, we may require that the appointment be rescheduled, and it will be considered a cancellation. We regret that late arrivals will not receive extension of scheduled appointment time.
