

A fun and fitness based weekend with a genuine army theme, delivered by an ex-army sergeant! Expect route marches, orienteering, outdoor circuits (regardless of the weather) and even an assault course to test yourselves over – along with a fair bit of army style shouting to encourage you through every session.

Your instructor for the weekend will be Stephen Christie, he served 19 years in the army and spent much of that time getting soldiers “fit to fight”, both at home and whilst away on operational tours in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Cyprus (where he ran the United Nations adventure training cell).
Steve left the army in 2006, ensuring through education and training that he could continue with his passion for changing peoples lives with exercise.
He is a REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) Level 3 Advanced Instructor, Personal Trainer with L3 Sports specific coaching & weight management. He also has a Diploma in Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy and a Life-fit Diploma in Exercise Performance; including mechanical principles of lifting, exercise prescription and the principles of training.
Steve has provided his professional training and massage therapy services to a professional golfer, England veteran badminton player (over 60s), UK tri-athlete (over 40s), National Dutch junior athlete (under 16s) and since moving to the Island has a contract with one of our 1 st division football teams, and is sponsoring (providing sports massage) one of the Island badminton team hoping to go to the Commonwealth games in Delhi this October.
